LED Grow Lights

LED Grow Lights continue to change and revolutionize the growing of plants indoors. Using grow lights to grow plants indoors is not a new concept, there were books and magazine articles written on the topic back in the 1950′s. From a “green” perspective LED lights do not produce as much heat and use much less energy to operate. The introduction of LED lighting for use indoors marked a milestone in indoor growing. The “Green Movement” has made more people aware of the world of plants and growing a garden. Using LED Lights for Growing

Besides the benefit of using less electricity than other indoor growing lights and being LEDs are very environmentally friendly. LED grow lights produce so little heat they can be placed within centimeters of a house plant like an African Violet or Aglaonema and not damage the leaf. Therefore LEDs do not waste a bunch of energy produce wasted or excessive heat. Doing a little research will quickly show the many different sizes of LEDs on the market. It is possible to try to match LEDs to create a the best wavelength for plants for optimal growth.
